Animal Instincts

Although there is a fine line between classy and trashy animal print, when done right, it can look fabulously chic. I particularly love leopard print because of it's soft tan undertones and rich caramel spots. I personally prefer just a touch of the print to accessorize, but bigger ticket items, such as dresses and skirts are unfailingly sexy and instant classics.

Japan Relief

After the disastrous events that took place in Japan, style and design seem like an irrelevant topic of conversation. My heart is broken by all the destruction and pain this earthquake has caused. The folks at W+K Studio designed this poster for anyone looking to help with Japan relief. By donating a minimum of 25$, they send you the poster which all of its net proceeds will be donated the American Red Cross. You can donate here.

Style Crush: Olivia Palermo

I particularly love the way she combines colours. So perfect!

The French Girl

For some reason, I have always been captivated by french style. Parisian girls seem to always have a way of looking effortlessly cool, whatever they're wearing. The new edition of Lonny Magazine features Inès de la Fressange's new book Parisian Chic which teaches the rest of the world the secrets to looking impeccably and elegantly french. The book comes out April 5th and I cannot wait to make it a part of my book collection.

Happy or Sad?

I think this is a good reminder that I should do more things that make me happy.

Seaside Dreams

Even though (or perhaps because) it only just snowed about 10cm here, I am having some serious daydreams about tropical beaches.  If you live in a snowy climate, I think you'll agree that at a certain point one reaches winter saturation. All I want to do is lay in the sand, sip a mojito and work on my burn tan. I really hope that groundhog was right...

Oscar Fashion

While I found most dresses at this year's Oscars' red carpet quite lacklustre, I have gathered some of my favourite. There were clearly two colour stories taking place this year. The first was full of bright and glamorous reds and the second comprised of soft and billowy purples and lilacs.

 Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang

Anne Hathaway in an archive Valentino

Javier Bardem - in Gucci and Penelope Cruz - in L'wren Scott

Can you believe she gave birth only a month ago?

 Andrew Garfield in Louis Vuitton

A great tuxedo is not wasted on me!

Helen Mirren in custom-made Fitriani

This dress is perfectly age appropriate while still being sexy. The colour also complements her skin tone very nicely.

Amy Adams in L'wren Scott

 Natalie Portman appropriately in Rodarte

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Haute Couture

She has been dressing exquisitely lately. Her SAG awards dress by Alexander McQueen was phenomenal!

Cate Blanchet in Givenchy Haute Couture

Hands down the best dress of the night! The beading, the sleeves, the touch of lime green, the fabric...I die.
