Golden Ladies

Although I could care less about award shows, I LOVE seeing all the glamorous dresses walking down the red carpet. I admit I don't actually watch the red carpet...but I do look at picture of it. Here are my some of my favourite dresses from last weekend's Golden Globe Awards.

I do like Sandra Bullock's dress but I think the bangs make the whole look a little sloppy. I think a messy bun would have polished the look a lot better while still being consistent with the dress.

I love this dress on Anne Hathaway. The sparkle and dangerously low cut back makes this otherwise simple dress subtly sexy.

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein

Perhaps my favourite look, I think the light pink complements Emma Stone's newly blond locks and pale skin exquisitely. She looks incredibly classy and polished. Perfect!

A Night at the Ballet

My friend and I went to see Black Swan last weekend. Being a ballet lover, I was already sold on the film but the styling and costumes blew me away! The story was absolutely enthralling, but the production design done by Thérèse DePerez in tones of black, white, grey and pink gave the movie a simple and classic feel which counter balanced the somewhat complicated storyline perfectly. The costumes however were ethereal. Designed by Rodarte, the tutus made from feathers, tulle and rhinestones were Ba-nanas!

Versailles, la nuit

I've never heard of a little girl who never dreamed of living in a castle. Straight out of a fairy tale book, the Palace of Versailles would have been the perfect royal residence for any girl's château fantasy to become reality (excluding the whole political revolution, of course!). The candlelight and gold accents of these photos taken in the palace at night make it seem that much more magical.

Runaway

Have you guys seen Kanye West's new video Runaway yet? He has a way of capturing beauty in a very raw manner, all the while making it completely over the top.  I'm definitely a fan of his aesthetic! I just wish he would stop changing some words and putting a beat on other people's music and calling it his own...
